As many of you may know, XL recently announced that they would changing and reorganizing the different skill trees that are present in Archeage. While this may have been a well-discussed topic for much of August, only preliminary details were known, and as a result, there was not much room for an accurate discussion and critiquing, as well as not enough details to warrant a full article from Omnom. But with the new details being released, it is now time to release fully translated versions of the new skills.
Please bare in mind that these went through closed testing in Korea not too long, and as a result, all of this is subject to change. In addition to that, some skills just came out as gibberish when translated, so I have left them in their native Korean for a later day. Also, understand that if any names don’t make sense with the new versions of the skills/passives, that is because the names are of the old versions of the skills/passives. Some of them will have revamped names.

General Changes

Attack Speed Changes

The following activated effects have had their Attack Speed and/or Cast Time coefficients changed:
  • Delirium (Battlerage) – Increases Attack Speed by up to 250.
  • Feral Aura (Archery) – Increases Attack Speed by up to 275.
  • Mana Fountain (Sorcery) – Increases Attack Speed by up to 200 and decreases Cast Time by up to 16%.
  • Prayer (Vitalism) – Decreases Cast Time by up to 30%.

Mana Consumption Changes

XL deemed that mana consumption on many skills was too high, making for a dull experience.

These changes vary from skill to skill, but on average, XL has decreased mana consumption by about 52% per skill.

Tooltips Improved

XL stated that they improved tooltips, making them more logical and easier to understand.

Ranged Skill Damage Changes

For a while now, Archers complained about the fact that when a target got too close to them, their damage would decrease. It was that when attacking a target with Ranged skills, if that target is within 8m of you, your Ranged skills lose 20% of their damage, and that the damage grew proportionally to how far away the target was from the player.

XL has removed that entirely.

Abyssal Skill Changes

When Abyssal Skills were originally released, they featured a passive in every skill tree that allowed you to gain 1 Abyssal Charge when certain skills were cast.

With this patch, XL has redesigned that passive in order to grant a certain number of Abyssal Charges with every single skill cast, ranging from 0.03 to 0.85 Abyssal Charges per skill cast.

Frenzy

Cooldown: 1 Minute 30 Seconds

Grants the Frenzy buff for 20 seconds.
Each time that you take damage, your Melee Attack is increased by 80.
Each time that you take damage, your Physical Defense is decreased by 10%.
Decreases the mana cost of all Battlerage skills by 70%.
Extends the duration of the Frenzy buff by 20 seconds each time you kill an enemy.
When the timer on the Frenzy buff is up, you are Exhausted for 4 seconds.

You are not Exhausted when under the effect of Urgency.

Precision Strike

Weapon Mastery


Increases your Melee Critical Damage by 9%.

Deflect and Retaliate


When dual-wielding, Parry deflects Ranged Attacks as well.
Permanently increases Parry rate +2%; each successful parry resets the cooldown on all Battlerage attack skills.
This ability has a 12 second cooldown once triggered.

Attack Speed Training


Grants the Delirium buff.

The buff gives the following for 9 seconds:

  • Melee Critical Damage increased by 5%
  • Attack Speed increased by 50

Delirium stacks up to 5 times.

Weapon Maneuvers


Increases Strength by 12%.

Puncture


Melee Critical attack decrease target’s Physical Defense by 3000 for 5 seconds.

Abyssal Skills and Passives

Soulbound Blades


Abyssal Charges: 2
Range: 0-12m
14 Second Cooldown

Throws Soulbound Blades at a target, dealing damage to that target (if cast on an enemy) and all nearby enemies. Inflicts 1762-1796 damage to all enemies within a 6m radius over 10 seconds.

Reduces Physical Defense by 50 each second.

Swordfall


Abyssal Charges: 4-6
Radius: 8m
Melee Attack: +561%
Cast Time: 3.0 Seconds
22 Second Cooldown

Damage: 1774 + 561% of your Melee Attack
Use this skill again to stop channeling early. The longer you channel, the more damage will be dealt.

Targets hit are Impaled.

If cast while at 6 Abyssal Charges, additional swords are summoned, inflicting more damage the closer an enemy is to the center of the effect.

Raging Berserker


Grants a certain percentage of an Abyssal Charge each time you use a Battlerage skill.

Reckless Charge

Using Charge, Tiger Strike, or Behind Enemy Lines decreases received Physical Damage -15%, and decreases the duration of Shackle, Slow, Snare, and Impale -40% for 4 seconds.

Invigorated Healing


Increases Critical Heal Bonus by 20%.

Quick Recovery


Resets cooldowns on all Vitalism healing skills after receiving critical damage or critical healing. If Quick Recovery is triggered too often, it will be disabled for 12 seconds.

Alms


Whenever a player casts Antithesis, Mend, or Fervent Healing, they gain a stack of the Prayer buff, which gives reduces Cast Time by 6%, lasts for 12 seconds, and can stack up to 5 times.

Once Prayer stacks 5 times, the stacks are used up and replaced by the Sacrifice effect.

Sacrifice lasts for 12 seconds, and grants the following:

  • Consumes 12-16% of current health when triggered.
  • Reduces Cast Time by 30%.
  • Adds an effect to Mend, which, when cast, consumes the Sacrifice buff and grants the Renewal buff to all affected allies.

Prayer stacks cannot be obtained while the Sacrifice buff is active.

Spirit Growth


Increases Spirit by 12%.

Defiance


Post-Cast Mana Regen is increased by 43.2 per some sort of ratio with Spirit.
Mana is not restored while out of combat.

Abyssal Skills and Passives

Abyssal Petrification


3 Abyssal Charges

Cast Time: 2.0 Seconds
1 Minute Cooldown

Removes all debuffs and aggro from a target and protects them from all damage for 18 seconds, but prevents them from moving or taking actions during the duration of the Petrify.
Using Abyssal Petrification on a petrified target cancels the effect.

Defy Death


4-6 Abyssal Charges
Range: 0-4m
Cast Time: 3.0 Seconds
30 Second Cooldown

Revives up to 6 allies within 6m of the caster. All targets beyond the first must be in the same party or raid as the caster to be revived. Any additional charges are consumed on casting, increasing the health and mana of revived targets.
Consuming 6 Abyssal Charges increases the affected range to 20m.
Can be used in combat.

Profance Prayers


Grants a certain percentage of an Abyssal Charge each time you use a Vitalism skill.

Painful Recharge


Reduces the duration of Silences by 40%.

Joyful Spirit


Increases Healing by 10%.

The skill damage of affected targets is reduced by 35%.
Can be cast while playing Songs from the Songcraft tree.

[Perform] Quickstep


Mana: 151
2 Second Cooldown

Plays a song for 15 seconds that increases the Movement Speed of all allies within a 10m radius by 20-28%.
The effect increases the longer you play Quickstep.
Only stacks with other Song skills, and shares a cooldown with them.

Shares a cooldown with other [Perform] skills.
Effects only stack with other [Perform] skills.

Charmed targets are Slowed.
Targets under the effects of Dissonance have their Attack Speed reduced.

Startling Strain


Mana: 28
Range: 0-15m
18 Second Cooldown

Snares target for 2 seconds.
Once the Snare is over, the target is Charmed. 
While Charmed, targets are susceptible to other Songcraft skill effects.

If the target is under the effect of Dissonance, the Charm effect lasts 50% longer.

Pursuit


Mana: 29
28 Second Cooldown

Grants the caster a buff that increases their Movement Speed by 200%. Lasts for 2 seconds.

[Perform] Ode to Recovery


Mana: 167
2 Second Cooldown

Plays a Healing Song for 15 seconds that heals all allies within a 10m radius.
Increases Received Healing by 21-33% for all allies within the radius.

Shares a cooldown with other [Perform] skills.
Effects only stack with other [Perform] skills.

Inflicts 852 – 928 damage a second on a Charmed enemy.
Enemies under the effect of Dissonance have their Received Healing reduced by 30%.

Healing: 1123 + 0% of your Healing Power

Plays a song that instantly restores Health for an ally. This effect can then travel to up to 2 allies within a 10m radius. This can repeat up to 3 times.

Hummingbird Ditty


Mana: 52
10 Second Cooldown

Gives a stack of the Rythm buff.
Increases all Critical Damage by 1%.
Reduces the cooldown of all Songcraft skills by 0.4 seconds.
Every 3 seconds that a Song is played, this buff gains another stack.
Stacks up to 15 times.

[Perform] Bulwark Ballad


Mana: 151
2 Second Cooldown

Plays a Song for 15 seconds with a radius of 10m that increases Physical and Magic Defense by 1600-2400.

Shares a cooldown with other [Perform] skills.
Effects only stack with other [Perform] skills.

Charmed enemies have their Physical and Magic Defense reduced by 50%.
Enemies under the effect of Dissonance have 10% of their Physical and Magic Defense ignored by damage.

Alarm Call

Enemies cannot target allies for 3 seconds (They can still use Area of Effect spells on them)
Shares a cooldown with other [Perform] skills.

[Perform] Bloody Chantey

2 Second Cooldown

Plays a Song for 15 seconds with a radius of 10m that increases the damage dealt by allies by 18-26%.
Increases allies’ Attack Speed by 282.

Shares a cooldown with other [Perform] skills.
Effects only stack with other [Perform] skills.

Charmed targets have their Skill Damage reduced by 20%.
Targets under the effect of Dissonance have their Accuracy reduced by 10%.

Grief’s Cadence


Mana: 355
Range: 0-50m
Radius: 30m
Cast Time: 5.0 Seconds
2 Minute Cooldown

Summons a AoE circle at target area for 30 seconds, which increases allies’ Attack Speed +350 and their Movement Speed +30% for as long as they are in the 30m radius.

(As you can see, this is basically a new version of Whirlwind’s Blessing)

Passives

Syncopation


Increases the duration of harmful effects from Songs by 3 seconds.

Hold the Note


Increases the duration of Quickstep, Bloody Chantey, Bulwark Ballad, and Ode to Recovery by 15 seconds.

Disciplined Performance


Performance skills grant the Rythm buff every 3 seconds.

Grants two stacks of Rythm instead of one when using Hummingbird Ditty. 

Loudspeaker


Increases the range of Quickstep, Bloody Chantey, Bulwark Ballad, and Ode to Recovery by 22m.

Zeal


Every successful Critical Damage/Heal triggers Zeal, which lasts for 6 seconds and increases all Critical Damage/Healing by 75%.
Zeal goes on cooldown for 12 seconds when it is triggered.

Abyssal Skills and Passives

Abyssal Echoes


Abyssal Charges: 3
12.8 Second Cooldown

Ends all ongoing Perform skills, but creates Weakdiminished Echoes of those abilities as buffs for up to 10 seconds. These echoes only affect the caster, and are not lost when casting non-perform skills. Using additional Perform skills during this time will end the echoes early.

Polymorphic Resonance


Abyssal Charges: 2
24 Second Cooldown

For up to 25 seconds, grants temporary immortality to allies within a 15m radius. When subjected to fatal damage, affected allies instead transform into animals and recover a small amount of Health, becoming temporarily immune to all debuffs.
This spell has an initial duration of 3 seconds, and consumes any additional Abyssal Charges over time to extend the duration 3 seconds per charge. If cast while at 6 Abyssal Charges, it has an initial duration of 5 seconds and each extra charge extends the duration 5 seconds instead.
Effect ends when no charges remain.

Seething Songs


Grants a certain percentage of an Abyssal Charge each time you use a Songcraft skill.

Uptempo


Reduces the cooldown of Songcraft skills by 20%.

Allegretto


Doubles the duration of the Pursuit buff.

    BIG questions about this one:

    Stalker’s Mark
    Mana: 63
    Range: 0-25m
    Ranged Attack: +100%
    27 Second Cooldown
    Damage: 460 + 100% of your Ranged Attack
    Marks enemies with the Stalker’s Mark debuff for 15 seconds, which
    Poisoned targets are Bled.

    Currently “stalker’s mark” debuff does this:
    Inflicts 111 Ranged Damage and marks enemies for 15 sec.
    Mark Effect: Decreases received healing -60%.
    Deals damage equal to 50 times the number of attacks suffered during the mark’s duration when it expires.
    Damage reduced -20% if target is within 8m

    On the picture you posted of the skill in Korean I am seeing a lot of stuff that is not in your description and is not the same as the current skill…
    I see the for “460+blahblahblah 100%” it’s the damage
    I see what is “15blabblahblah” it’s the debuff duration
    I don’t see what “blablahblahblahblah 210% is supposed to be
    I don’t see what “blahblah 25% blah” is supposed to be

    Could you give us a translation of the whole thing please?

Что если “자신이 효과시 위혐 수치 3배 – 3 times the stigma value???” это “Если вы находитесь под эффектом умения “Заживление ран” – умение “тройной удар” создает в 3 раза больше угрозы?” (Increases threat generation +300% if used while under the effects of Toughen.)
